CuproBraze: Promises and Expectations
CuproBraze first moved into production six years ago. Twenty-five companies around the world already are in production or have made a decision to manufacture CuproBraze products. This new technology for brazing copper-to-brass and brass-to-brass is the key to more efficient and- compact designs of heat exchangers that are compatible with elevated operating temperatures.
The discussion features an overview of the status and current output of various low volume, midsize and high-volume production facilities. The International Copper Association and Luvata led a panel of CuproBraze experts representing heat-exchanger manufacturers, materials suppliers and equipment builders. The main topic focused on the promises and expectations with regard to CuproBraze heat exchangers in OEM vehicles as well as aftermarket applications. Panel members spoke candidly about challenges in manufacturing, product design and marketing.
