FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The International Copper Association Announces Launch
of New Cuprobraze® Alliance Website

The International Copper Association (ICA), a founding member of the CuproBraze Alliance, announced today the launch of the Alliance’s newly redesigned CuproBraze website at www.cuprobraze.com. Content-rich and easy-to-navigate, the website offers visitors many resources relating to the CuproBraze process for brazing copper and brass in the manufacture of advanced heat exchangers.

The new CuproBraze website includes hundreds of pages of Alliance-member literature as well as engaging multimedia features, such as a high-resolution photo-gallery and streaming video in three languages of a high volume production line. Current and back issues of the ICA’s “CuproBraze Executive Report” newsletter can be easily accessed on this website as well as newsletters from other CuproBraze Alliance member companies.

The CuproBraze Alliance is a worldwide consortium of companies dedicated to facilitating the adoption of the CuproBraze technology by the global automotive industry. Alliance members include trade associations such as ICA as well as materials suppliers, equipment builders and heat exchanger manufacturers. The Alliance engages in joint research and promotes the exchange of ideas to assist members in better serving their customers. It has assisted in the establishment of CuproBraze production lines around the world in countries such as the USA, Mexico, China, Russia, Japan, France, Finland, India and Great Britain.

ICA Automotive Manager Nigel Cotton says, “The new CuproBraze website provides easy global access of critical information to engineers and technical managers interested in next-generation cooling systems. The Internet is an ideal medium for disseminating this knowledge. I vigorously recommend the new CuproBraze website to anyone interested in advanced heat exchangers.”

For no charge, registered users can download the “CuproBraze Brazing Handbook,” which contains detailed technical information and illustrations for every step of the CuproBraze process. Registered users can also participate in the CuproBraze Forum, a moderated message board for exchanging information about experiences with CuproBraze processes and applications as well as related news and events.

For absolute beginners, the website includes a general overview of the technology, covering the basics of the process, typical applications and advantages with respect to competitive technology. For experts, the member pages for Alliance members contain materials data sheets, technical papers and product brochures relating to specific equipment and materials.

The CuproBraze process uses brazed copper and brass to produce heat exchangers, such as radiators, charge-air coolers, oil coolers, heaters and climate control products for heavy-duty trucks, off-road vehicles, light trucks and passenger cars. CuproBraze excels with respect to critical performance criteria such as size, efficiency and durability. CuproBraze products are extremely rugged, offering a long service life, and are able to withstand higher operating temperatures, a crucial property in helping diesel engine manufacturers meet new stringent emission control standards. In addition, CuproBraze is attractive to manufacturers and OEMs in terms of total cost, and is ideal for companies interested in sustainable development.
